Today, we’re happy to announce that Spanish-speakers can use Homebase to manage their work life in their primary language. Homebase now supports Spanish across all of our products and apps, and we are the first labor management solution to be completely bilingual.
According to recent reports, in the U.S., Hispanics and Latinos make up 12 percent of all business owners and 16 percent of the workforce. Between 2007 and 2012, the number of Latino-owned businesses grew by 47% percent, and in industries like food preparation and serving, this community now comprises nearly 25 percent of the workforce.
Although Spanish speakers make up a growing percentage of the business community, there are few tools available in their primary language to help them manage their business, team, or work. We wanted to change that.
Everything from scheduling employees to completing payroll using our free timesheets as a manager can be done in English and Spanish. All of our time clocks will remember language preferences making it easy to track time. And team members can now view their schedules, track earnings, and trade shifts in Spanish, on the web or in our free mobile apps.
Even better, more than half of our support team speaks Spanish fluently, so if an issue comes up, we’re here to help by chat, email, and phone…all in Spanish.
